African Gateau, Sokladetaart, Bolu Belanda.
Apapun namanya, cake ini bikin penasaran dari hari Kamis kemarin.
Alhamdulillah hari ini rasa penasaranku terbayar lunas dengan selesainya African Gateau buatanku.
Terima kasih Kakak Ghina so kasih rasa ni Cake pas pasiar kemarin.

Bahan-bahan:
Bahan Cake Coklat :
3 kuning telur
2 telur utuh
70 gram gula pasir
65 gram tepung terigu
15 gram coklat bubuk
10 gram tepung maizena
10 gram susu bubuk
1/4 sdt vanili susu
55 gram butter (me : Anchor), lelehkan

Bahan Custard :
350 susu cair evaporasi (me : F&N)
150 ml susu kental manis
2 kuning telur
45 gram tepung maizena
1/2 sdm butter

Langkah:
1. Buat Custard. Campur semua bahan kecuali gula pasir. Masak dengan api kecil, sambil diaduk hingga meletup-letup lalu masukkan gula pasir. Masak sampai adonan mengental, lalu matikan api. Tambahkan butter, aduk rata. Sisihkan.




2. Buat Cake. Kocok gula dan telur.sampai kental, berwarna putih kekuningan.




3. Setelah adonan kental, masukkan terigu, maizena, susu bubuk, coklat bubuk dan vanili bubuk dengan cara diayak. Aduk dengan teknik melipat, agar adonan tidak bantat. Lanjut masukkan butter yang sudah dilelehkan, aduk rata.




4. Tuang adonan kedalam loyang ukuran 20 X 10 cm yang sudah dioles margarin dan dialasi kertas roti.



5. Panggang dalam oven dengan menggunakan api sedang. Tes kematangan dengan menggunakan tusuk sate. Apabila ditusuk lidinya bersih, artinya Cake sudah matang. Angkat, keluarkan dari loyang, letakkan pada cooling rack, biarkan sampai cake betul-betul dingin.


6. Belah 3 Cake dengan ukuran ketebalan yang sama. Olesi custard di setiap lapisannya sisihkan.




7. Alasi loyang kue yang tadi dengan plastik. Masukkan Cake kembali kedalam loyang. Ketuk-ketuk loyang agar lapisan Custard bisa menyebar dan padat. Masukkan ke dalam kulkas selama beberapa jam atau sampai lapisan Custard agak keras, untuk memudahkan proses pemotongan.



8. Keluarkan Cake dari loyang dengan cara mengangkat / menarik plastiknya keatas. Buang pingirannya (boleh juga tidak) agar rapi. Lalu hias sesuai selera.




9. Pastikan untuk tetap menyimpan Cake dalam kulkas agar Custard tetap keras.
